Attention Candidates:

The Political Women’s Council (TPWC) is pleased to announce that we will offer our endorsement for some of the races in the 2026 November General Election. The Council endorsement will be, primarily, based on information you provide about yourself and your campaign. No candidate interviews are planned currently, so state your positions clearly in the required comment sections.

Please note that TPWC will only endorse Pro-Choice candidates. Please do not waste our time, or yours, if you do not completely support a female’s right to make decisions about her own body. Completed questionnaires are viewed by our Endorsement Committee and possibly the Executive Board of TPWC.

Completed questionnaires must be submitted by midnight on September 12, 2026 to our email address 2019thecouncil@gmail.com. No late submissions will be considered. Endorsed candidates will be notified after September 18, 2026.

Reproductive Freedom

I support easy access to accurate and complete reproductive information for women.

I support easy access to comprehensive reproductive health care services for women.

I support easy access to information about human sexuality and to reproductive health care services for adolescents.

I support a woman's freedom to make reproductive decisions.

I support a woman's right to seek and obtain a medically safe and legal abortion.

I support informed and responsible decision-making concerning the continuation or termination of pregnancy by ensuring that all women seeking it are provided information on the nature, consequences and risks of the procedure.

I support the use of public funds, if available, to subsidence cost for women who choose an abortion but can not afford one.

Health Care

I support the availability of health care services to all people in Kentucky regardless of their employment status.

I support universal health care coverage for all people in Kentucky regardless of their employment status.

I support legislation intended to make prescription medications more affordable.

I support legislation requiring insurance companies that cover prescription drugs to also cover prescription contraceptives.

Work

I support the concept of equal rights for all people regardless of gender, age, religious affiliation, race, color, creed, disability, sexual orientation, and family or pregnancy status.

I support policies that offer incentives for employers to institute flex-time and other strategies that give working parents more freedom to spend time with their families.

I support policies that establish a living wage.

I support the concept of pay equity.

Childcare & Family

I support action that ensures the state enforces minimum standards in day care centers, including provision of a safe, healthy, and clean environment.

I support stable and adequate funding for children at risk, with priority given to prevention, early identification, and intervention services.

I support programs, services, and policies that expand the supply of affordable, quality childcare, and after-school care for all who need it.

I support policies that encourage adequate compensation for those who choose childcare as a profession.

Non-Discrimination

I support full civil rights and equal treatment under the law for all people regardless of gender, religious affiliation, age, disability, race, color, creed, sexual orientation, and family or pregnancy status with regard to employment, housing, custody decisions and adoptions.

Viability of Campaign and Ability to Win the Race
